So frustrated with this...I’m using a bunch of Motionarray fusion title macros and having an issue where the 1st frame of the title outputs black. This is only present on the first frame of each title. 2nd frame and beyond are fine.

It is a keyframe stretcher issue showing this error in console:
"KeyframeStretcher1 cannot get Parameter for Keyframes at time 0
MediaOut1 cannot get Parameter for Input at time 1
MediaOut1 failed at time 1"

The macros seem to work fine untouched. I believe these errors start occurring once I started dragging the clip durations on the edit page in order to shorten/lengthen the amount of time the titles stay on screen.

I've got probably 50 instances of these titles I've used throughout my project and the thought of starting over from scratch is maddening. Any work arounds to save me the headache?

Check your frame range - it may start at a negative frame number. If it does, that will cause the black frame you see.

There's a bit of a design flaw in Fusion compositions accessed on the Edit page. When you drag a Fusion composition/title to a timeline, Resolve sets its frame range to start from frame 0, and run for the length of the clip on Edit. Let's say, frame 0 to 899 (30 seconds at 30 FPS).

If you later drag the right edge of the clip, the end of the comp's frame range will increase or decrease, and there's no problem with that.

But if you drag the left edge of the clip, you're adjusting the starting frame of the comp. And if you were to drag the left edge of the clip to the left, you'll extend the Fusion composition into negative frames. I think technically this shouldn't necessarily be a problem. But for some reason that also causes this black frame issue.

So the simple rule of thumb is: on Edit, never drag the left edge of a Fusion composition to the left. And if possible, never drag the left edge of a Fusion clip at all. If you want to make it to start earlier, move the whole clip to the left and then adjust its length from the right edge as necessary.

So double check your Fusion frame range and confirm if it starts in negative frames; if it does, drag the left edge of the clip to the right on Edit until Fusion shows the first frame as 0. See if that solves your problem.
