Here is a screenshot of my nodes. So, I'm trying to make a second planar tracker to track a polygon mask in order to appear in front of the first planar tracker (with an image applied to it). How would I arrange the nodes? I basically just want a polygon mask to link with a planar tracker (so that this mask can appear in front of the base footage). Thanks!

At a guess your media2 is moving over your media1 and is casting a shadow on media1... or is your media 2 stationaary throwing a shadow onto media1 or is it something else? From your nodes Media1 seems to be moving Media2 appears to be stationary and the Polygon might need to be more in the region of where the redundant Merge is connected. It's difficult to tell without more details.

I agree with this.

From your description it's not entirely clear what you're trying to achieve and what your source images are. Is something moving in front of the thing you're adding with the planar tracker that you need to cut out? Are you trying to track the same thing twice with seperate trackers?

If a planar tracker is done you can just copy/paste it and use all its data without having to retrack, so you could do that. You could mask out the original footage before feeding it into the planar tracker, so it will move with the image automatically. You could create a planar transform from whatever planar tracker you're happy with and use that to transform your mask before using it. There are so many options to do this and the one you need in your case really depends on what you're trying to achieve.

Can you share (part) of the footage with us, so we can see what we're dealing with?
