Hi, I have some background with other compositing softw - I am surprised in fusion to see as soon as the comp is slightly complex, that it is not running real time, with composition properly cached - I have tested in one machine with 64Gb ram + nr 3 rtx 2070 and another machine with 128Gb ram + rtx 3090. Any suggestion? Thank you and Happy New Year to everybody!!

I find this as well. There's usually a point where fusion goes from "Everything is fine, nothing to see here" straight to, "Ugh, I just can't do this any longer."
So it's a matter of watching your movie frame by frame or doing snippet exports constantly. It is kind of a bummer to wait for the files to cache and then hit the space bar and see 1-2 fps.

yes, actually it looks like some kind of partial caching... I hope they will work on it...

Interesting. I only had this happen on machines with less than 64GBs of ram, not on my computer at home. But I definitely have had many cases where a node was supposedly cached to ram and yet it would still process the whole branch again and again. Pretty annoying since it makes it impossible to ever see the comp in real-time. If you find a way to reproduce this you should definitely send this to the blackmagic support. Or make a screen capture when that happens. That’s something I couldn’t do on the office computer.
