If you want a macro to be accessible in the Edit page as an Effects Template, try placing the .setting file in the Templates folder hierarchy instead:
- Code: Select all
/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Fusion/Templates/Edit/Effects/

Placing your .setting files into the "Macros" folder makes them accessible in the Fusion page's "Select Tool" (Shift+Spacebar) dialog.
The same "Macros" folder based content will also show up in a Fusion page Nodes view right-click based contextual "Add Tools" menu entry.

P.S. The Steakunderwater forum is likely a better platform to get detailed answers to macro creation, and scripting questions inside of Resolve/Fusion. This is where a lot of the scripting, and workflow automation Fusion users tend to hang out on the web.
