First time camera tracking, the solver gets stuck on 99%

PostTue May 10, 2022 7:01 pm

The tracker solve gets stuck on 99% and starts over from 1% periodically - never finishing.
Followed a youtube tutorial just in case, still no luck.
These are my settings.

Heard that maybe the h264 compression might be a problem, so I rendered it in h265 and my track still doesn't work, tried with forced gpu rendering too.

I'm guessing that if you are going to grt a useful answer, you'll need to provide more information. Have you tried different settings, how much movement is present in the video clip, are there clear features to track etc. I would expect more problems with h265 than h264. Was the original the h264?

Put a DNxHD or ProRes instead, make sure a great area is selected to be tracked, uncheck bidirectionnal tracking, don't touch anything else from default and try again to check...
