Keep last node selection when revisiting Fusion

PostSun Jun 19, 2022 5:39 am

Hello,

sorry, this isn't a new question probably, but I searched the manuals, the Internet, and this forum with all kinds of keywords and I found nothing. Well, I got one hit in Google, but that was unanswered.

For example, we have this node chain, and ColorCorrector1 is selected:

MediaIn1 --> ColorCorrector1 --> ColorCorrector2 --> MediaOut1

When I go to Edit or Color, and return to Fusion, Fusion automatically selects the last node before MediaOut1:

MediaIn1 --> ColorCorrector1 --> ColorCorrector2 --> MediaOut1

It always selects the last node before MediaOut1 even if I swap those inner nodes and put ColorCorrector2 before ColorCorrector1 -- in which case Fusion always selects ColorCorrector1 when I return to Fusion.

Is there an option checkbox that makes Fusion keep the last node selection?

I couldn't find anything related in "Fusion Settings..."

I often switch very quickly between Edit and Fusion and Color with the keyboard (left hand) and tune certain Fusion node parameters with the mouse in the right hand. While Edit and Color keep their last object selections, Fusion's last selection always jumps away. This is especially cumbersome when working with complex node trees.

Anyway, it's a minor issue. I love the entire Davinci package (currently 17.4.6 Build 4). It's fantastic.

Cheers!
