Link Text Field

Hi all,

I’ve seen in the forum multiple subjects about edit control but I couldn’t get the help I need.

I was wondering if I could create a text field ( using edit control) and link to an actual Text node. Like everything I type on the custom node will be linked to the text node.


I thought about doing this way because I do not need to change any other parameters, only single names.

The Custom control is being created to help the localization editor to change the language (on-screen) of a couple of hundreds of clips and ideally, they should not change anything else in the composition.

they're a community effort and they also support various other ways of importing data into your Fusion compositions. There's a good chance that with them you can create one file that contains all the localization you need and then cycle through them and create all the comps for them and then batch render everything out. It's beyond my skill set to do this, but these are very flexible new tools under active development with near endless possibilities.

These people are great. I have all the rest of the project already animated and working and I was hoping I could add the text node into the same Custom control node I created. It would be a lot easier for a person that only needs to replace 2 text fields and all the animation and masks would be doing their magic.

I think I got it.
