Scrolling end credits for a film

PostWed Aug 17, 2022 11:56 pm

Hola!

I'm having trouble getting all of my scrolling end credits to show. I'm using several text nodes for the various titles and names and then merging them all together and then doing a transform on the group to scroll the credits. But, my text gets cut off because I guess the credits are longer than my 3840x2160 window will allow.

Is there a way to alter this behaviour or is this just the wrong way to do it?

Yes that's kind of what I'm doing already. The only thing is, his credits are not that long...mine are pages long and get cropped.

If that happens you're combining them in the wrong way.
Can you show us the flow and you connected things to each other?
That way we can help you a little better than just saying 'well, on my side it does work'

I animate the Position Y component of the transform.

Resolve Fusion is the best tool for the job. You just need to get it right from the start.

I have created rollers with 20000 pixels in height without a problem. I would say your settings are wrong hence you are getting the issues.

Your transform1 isn't a transform tool.
It's a Merge (it has a green foreground input)
Change that to a transform and you probably get better results.

You're right! I'm not sure how I got that Transform instead of the real one.

Thanks!

You can make that approach as long as you like. My credits are several pages too. The main reason for this approach is to be smooth.
