Hello, I'm fairly new to Davinci Resolve and it is crashing constantly in projects that use Fusion. It crashes to Desktop without any errors. It seems to happen randomly whenever you try to interact with a Fusion Composition. Even just clicking the Clip in the media window crashes it.

Can anyone assist me with some troubleshooting steps? Im unable to attach logs due to limits on the forum.

Im on a MacStudio with the latest OS and version of Davinci Resolve.

Would a re-install have any chance of resolving it?

I have this same problem with free version 16.2.8.005 on High Sierra.

The last time it happened, I saved right before the crash, so every time I open that project, the program crashes. I had to use an auto backup to continue.

Sometimes you can get through making a polygon shape. Sometimes it crashes while you're making it. One time all I did was try to move a point on a polygon window.

It is a crash-fest.
Paid version, and my effects artist has it crashing with Fusion constantly.
(Random, some are basic/minor issues)

Maybe they can get ChatGPT to help flesh out Fusion.
(Since time is limited and their main audience are hardware devices sold through people using Resolve)

We have AE, NUKE, and Fusion… the first is bloated from what I hear, the latter is a good penny more than Fusion.

Hope they fix…stabilize, and allow for the artist to work.

I experience this non-stop. My latest comp is moving 3 still images around. Too much for Fusion. Crashes every time.

OP, you post logs by uploading them to Google Drive or OneDrive and posting a link.
