Particle dissolve help

PostTue Jan 31, 2023 5:40 pm

Hi there! I am new to davinci resolve and trying to learn. I am looking to create a logo particle dissolve, but I need it to be delayed. I would like the logo to appear on screen for say 5 seconds, and at the 5 second mark begin to particle dissolve until gone off screen in another 5 seconds. 10 second total clip time. I have tried multiple times by keyframjng the 5th second and going through the animation, but no matter how I've tried it begins immediately from 0. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a preset effect or are you building it from scratch?
It's difficult to give good advice if we don't know what you're doing.
Screenshots and/or comp files will help us help you.

I have a .png of the logo and then I'm building the particle effect from scratch. I will try and post that information when I get back on my pc. I just followed a video tutorial off YouTube.
