Fusion 17 to 18.1.3 MacOS

PostTue Feb 07, 2023 2:50 am

Hello:

I am running Fusion Studio 17.4.3 on a 2021 M1Max MBP16 operating under MacOS 13.2. When I attempt to launch Fusion 17 it crashes and does not launch. I would like to update to version Fusion Studio 18.1.3. When I attempt to download Fusion version 18.1.3 it requests my license information. Does submitting my license again use one of my three licenses? Is there a way to deactivate the license on Fusion Studio 17.4.3?

Thank you in advance.

If you're on the download page on https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/support/family/davinci-resolve-and-fusion, once you get the registration popup you can leave it empty and just click the "Download Only" on the bottom left.

Fusion/Resolve licenses with an activation key allows two simultaneous activations, not three, and registering using the registration form has nothing to do with license activation. You can only activate/deactivate inside the applications.

Hi Roger,

I would like to say this worked. However, Fusion Studio 18.1.3 still crashes on launch. I also updated to MacOS 13.2.1 but that made no difference. Some things I have thought about trying are the following:

1) Re-install a fresh copy of the operating system
2) Is there a way to manually uninstall Fusion Studio? When I use the un-install application, all that seems to be removed are application files. There has to be some plist and helper files somewhere.
