Duplicate/ Burst Object

PostWed Mar 29, 2023 5:42 pm

Having trouble figuring this out, but I am trying to have a polygon shape "burst" from behind an image. I am having trouble getting it to burst out almost randomly in a random direction. I am still new to Davinci Resolve, just can't seem to get this working.
Node structure; Polygon.mask > Background.bg > Transform.bg > Duplicate
The shape needs to stay facing the same direction so can't adjust the angle since it's the shape of a house.

Where I am is I have a burst that seems random, but a lot of the dups come out in one big burst and not really a smooth, I guess sparkler effect where the house shape keeps popping out for a duration amount of time.

Well after learning more about this and trying random things figured it out. pEmitter set the style to Butmap allows you to do this. Adjust the Angle Variance to 360 and adjust other parameters to your liking.
