Skipping GlobalOut ok?

Is it ok to remove GlobalOut from a media in node in a macro? Because if it is there like this:

  GlobalOut = Input { Value = 298, },
  MediaSource = Input { Value = FuID { "MediaPool" }, },

then extending a clip with this macro in length leads to the media disappearing after that frame:

If I remove it, extending the clip extends that media in too, so just wondering if removing it could break anything?
