Rolling Shutter or Time Distortion Effect?

PostWed Nov 12, 2014 5:32 pm

Hello,

Is there a way to process video in Fusion so as to get a rolling shutter/time distortion effect?

Thanks for any insight!

There are some cool macro tools available that do exactly that but you need the Full version of Fusion to use them because they need the optical flow tool-set which is missing from the Free version.

The free Krokodove plug-in has also a tool called Time Mapper which you can use for Time distortion effects but i think you need the full version of Fusion for that as well.
Windows 10 x64 • Threadripper 1950x • 64GB RAM • RTX 4090 24GB • Latest Nvidia drivers
Fusioneer since Fu4.0 • Resolver since v9

So I've found tutorials on how to get a Rolling Shutter, Time Displacement, and Slit Scan effect in Adobe After Effects:

And found a program for OSX that does the effect for you:

But I would like to have some more control implementing the effect. So I'm still looking to see if anyone has done something like this in Fusion 7.

Thanks Miltros! I'll see what I can do with that!
