Application Freezing

PostFri Nov 21, 2014 8:53 pm

Often times Fusion freezes as I make changes to node connections. (the circular green arrow is not rotating but static) This forces me to close the comp and reopen it. I'm not sure if it's a memory issue or something I should not be doing while experimenting with node connections. The experiment I'm working on now involves a 3D space scene (Planet Earth). It's not a very big comp. The last freeze I had was when I disconnected a falloff node from a 3Dshape and tried to put it back. When I took off the connection, the 3Dshape when to default white as expected. When putting the falloff back, Fusion froze (or was taking very long to update the view). What would typically cause this?

My system specs:
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Mobo-Gigabyte X79-UP4
CPU-i7-4930k @3.4GHz 3.7GHz
GPU-EVGA NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760 ATX 2GHz
Mem-16Gb RAM DDR3

Check the Firewall and Anti Virus settings. In the allow list make sure eyeonserve.exe is allowed.

Are any other apps running at the same time?

I see "EyeonScript Services" allowed.
I'm not sure if anything else was running at the time. I will be mindful of that and observe going forward.
