BUG: Python 2.x console can't create variables

System:
Fusion 7.6 with Python 2.7.6 x64
Windows 7 x64 SP1

Description:
Python in Fusion can not create variables.

Steps to reproduce:
In Console set to Py2:
Code: Select all
Py2> hello = "world"
Py2> print (hello)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<nofile>", line 1, in <module>
NameError: name 'hello' is not defined
