Fusion Webinar on Moviola.com

PostTue Feb 17, 2015 7:11 pm

Hi guys,

My webinar starts in a few minutes with pre-interview, then webinar starts at 11:30

It's in depth about UI, deep explanation into Globals, UI, node workflow etc..

Not an advanced fusion course, but a must for someone new to Fusion UI

Very nicely in my mac, Safari.

If only the beta would show up soon... Fusion is so interesting. Just like shake in the old days.

I plan on doing more, I want to dig into sections next time. An entire webinar on a single subject, perhaps particles, shaders, etc...

So much fun stuff to show!

PS: I think my webinar is still available to watch

Hey Rony,

Really enjoyed the webinar. I've been kind of dipping my toes into Fusion from time to time and it's great to see you zip around and show off a few key things. I'm coming from other pieces of software so I thought this was a great blend of "Intro to Fusion" and compare/contrast to what you already use. I liked that you went over the merge node with the color-coding thing, made things very clear, the shape box was cool, flicking nodes onto the viewer, how to drag and connect nodes mid way in a pipeline, etc... Just a lot of neat, quick workflow tips bundled into a great introductory. I was impressed and look forward to more! :D

I think moviola requires some sort of membership for offline viewing, not really sure.

Here's the link;

You can sign up for a free trial of the pro membership and watch it for free, otherwise they want $9.99 as a rental fee to watch it.

Yeah moviola is a really bad choice for this stuff, if BMD want to charge for support/tutorial videos thats fine, but at least self host.
I don't want to pay a subscription (especially considering the crashes i had) but i have no problem buying direct from BMD, some free tutorials would be nice but that will obviously have to be left to users to do from now on.

right now, we don't have infrastructure for webinars, nor are we sure that is a direction for us (not saying it's not, just saying i have no idea)
Moviola provided that, next time, who knows..

IMHO, BMD should take Mocha's example, and do video tutorials hosted on Vimeo. They don't have to be live. You can learn 75% of everything you need to know about Mocha just from Imagineer's site.

I'm not a fan of Vimeo's terrible reliability and limited format options, but if you have the money to spend for it, cool, but please also supply them on YouTube.
