I just noticed the unsharp mask in Fusion7 has been changed. It no long has a slider to allow to adjust how the tool affects the dark values of the image. What is the thinking behind this change? The threshold slider does not seem to have the same results.

This is causing a minor headache when bringing in shots previously created in fusion 6, and I was wondering if there was a known adjustment that can help...

Could you get the same or similar effect via a luma key into the unsharpMask mask input?

I can't comment on the change from version 6 to 7 but the luma key approach could give you more flexibility and control than the unsharpMask node's threshold slider.
