Problems reading .MXF from Panasonic HVX200

Hi there,

I'm cutting in Lightworks, and I have a shot that needs some VFX (St Elmo's fire on a mast).

I added the Fusion connector, and it launches everything fine... except the file won't display.

Are DVCPROHD video files not supported?

I'm going to convert to an AVI or QuickTime so I can comp it, but I was curious.

Hi Val,

Fusion doesn't use Avid media, it exports out a .raw format. Make sure that you select the option to export media before you click edit effect.

Well, Editshare's Lightworks merely sends a link to Fusion with the file in question, and creates the Loader and Saver nodes.

That part works fine. But when I drag the Loader into the viewer nothing shows up.

I expected the viewer to show/play the clip. But nothing showed up.

I then closed it down, opened up Fusion separately, and Loaded another .MXF file (HVX200 DVCPROHD) and the same happened. It wouldn't play the file.

Do I need to have the codec installed? With Lightworks, I don't.
