[Feature Request] New Grid Warp

PostThu Sep 03, 2015 2:02 am

BMD

One of the biggest headaches I have is working with the Grid Warp tool. Other people have suggested a spline warp tool. This would also be welcome. I have use Flames tool for a number of years and that is like slicing butter with a hot knife compared to this tool. If you get it all working it is fine, but it is old code which need a major overhaul. One wrong move and it blows up.

Cheers

Yes, it's even been high on eyeon's feature request list for a while, one of my own as well.

Essentially, you can expect that moving forward, every single tool will be evaluated, not just grid warper.

Please include z-axis on the grid. Just like flame/smoke.

I understand where you are coming from, however in flame it is a surface you are warping, where the image is mapped onto, not an image. So to get the same results, it would have to be a 3D plane with an image and then have the same warping tools as flame.

Yes, the official requests has always been a bi-cubic grid warper. (mostly)

Oh man, I'd love to see that list. I have one of my own. ;)

This is excellent news. I feel there is much improvement needed in many of Fusion's basic compositing tools. Where's the best place to send requests where Blackmagic will see them?
