Images, not Image Sequences

I have some images that are named BKG_01, BKG_02, BKG_03.... etc. When I try to import them as a still image, the loader treats them as an image sequence. I know I can trim and hold frame to get around the issue.
But i'm curious, what if you had an image folder with files from 0-40543409 and you wanted to only load 302302. Do you have to manually enter this image number, so the loader "holds" on that part of the image sequence? I feel like i'm missing something, but can't find a way to force the loader not to load the still as a image sequence.
thanks,

from finder/explorer, click shift while you drag into fusion, that will bring in just that frame

Perfect!
On a side note, I've watched your SIGGRAPH 2012 presentation on Anonymous. And am very hopeful there will be some training based on the techniques you used in there.... Mind blowing stuff, and some extremely creative approaches to simulation work!
For those who haven't seen it, it's most definitely worth a watch...
Thanks again for the help!

How many people actually use explorer next to Fusion? Fusion's file dialog is so much more powerful with file sequences, bookmarks, history and preview. It would be cool if Fusion imported single files if the sequence checkbox was disabled.

I agree that the Fusion file browser should make loading individual images easier, but 90% of the time I'm loading a single frame, I'm doing it from explorer. Mostly because I see an oddball image, like a tiny file or one that has a weird timestamp, or I'm using another application to make the files or I've been sent those images via email or FTP or a web download and it's faster to use explorer than navigate to that folder from Fusion.

I do agree, I would love the fusion dialog to select individual image when the sequence is expanded, and the entire sequence with it isn't. This way, fusion always knows if you want a frame or sequence.
just an idea.
The siggraph breakdown is pretty awesome, but really, Netflix anonymous to get a real scope of the amount of work those guys put in.

if I'm right, this great and powerful file dialog is now dead in Fu8... ((((

sounds like a hope, because in my case, when I create a loader in Fu8, I see a standard explorer window..
