Loader node with mp4 file turns red

Re-opening a project I just worked on last night gives me a a red loader node which is loading an mp4.
Position of the file is the same, re-linking/re-loading it via browse button within the same node does not help either.

Console output:
Code: Select all
Loader4 failed to load file "D:\The Crystal Apes\Video\CA_MusVid_Confidence_2015-09-26_0001\Media\Footage\EyeMoving.mp4" (clip "D:\The Crystal Apes\Video\CA_MusVid_Confidence_2015-09-26_0001\Media\Footage\EyeMoving.mp4" at frame 0)
ImagePlane3D2 cannot get Parameter for MaterialInput at time 0
Merge3D1 cannot get SceneInput2 at time 0
Merge3D1 failed at time 0
Loader4 failed to load file "D:\The Crystal Apes\Video\CA_MusVid_Confidence_2015-09-26_0001\Media\Footage\EyeMoving.mp4" (clip "D:\The Crystal Apes\Video\CA_MusVid_Confidence_2015-09-26_0001\Media\Footage\EyeMoving.mp4" at frame 0)
Loader4 failed at time 0

Any ideas? Wanted to analyse this before just creating a new node and avoiding this problem just like that.

Restarting the machine does not help either - very strange.

What if it's in a directory path which doesn't contain spaces?

What if you put the loaders into the orange input instead of the green one?

Have you tried using a Shape 3D set as a plane instead of using an Image Plane node? Else I think there's something about your read node that the 3D system doesn't like, seems like something in that mp4 messes with the stream somehow...

Hehe, but the green is the material input, the orange is "scene input", so you can pipe a 3D object into it - whatever that means in regard to an image plane - but that won't take a loader. :? ;)

Right. I've been using Fusion for over 17 years now and I keep forgetting that it's the green input.

LOL @ Sander

I sat for 2 minutes in Houdini yesterday trying to remember the name of a node I use all the time. It's amazing how age messes with your memory. ;)

Also, it's not easy remembering green. :D

It's even worse. After amassing 5K+ views on the Keying Green video I deleted it from Youtube, thinking I was only deleting it from a playlist, so now I'm back at 20 views with a different URL, so all the social media links that pointed to the original no longer work. Stupid is as stupid does I guess.
