I'm trying to find out the frame rate of footage in a Loader. I'm aware that Fusion is frame rate agnostic and I can use a TimeSpeed node to change a frame rate if I need to. However, it's helpful to know the original frame rate of the footage so I can adjust the speed properly.

Is there anyway to find out the original frame rate from a Loader?

framerates only come with movies clips, like Quicktime. Not with filesequenses.

then u can click in the left corner of the viewer, "SubV" and change it to "Metadata" .
But u only can see it, if this infomation is stored in the metadata of the clip.

DPX and OpenEXR files can have frame rate metadata in header, you can check it in Metadata SubViewer as Stefan mentioned. I am not aware of any other file format that has frame rate metadata.

Thanks, that's good to know about the metadata.

However, other movie formats have a built in frame rate, although they apparently aren't stored as meta data. If I open a quicktime movie, for instance, in VLC or After Effects, there is an embedded frame rate that the file will be played at by default.

Is there no way to see that within Fusion?

You don't see it in the metadata?

No, not for an mp4. I only see the filename and the color space. As Jirka mentioned, not all movie formats have a framerate in the metadata, but they should still have an built-in framerate.

Any other thoughts?
