Matching the Camera to a still image

Hello,

I've been searching the webs for days, but haven't come across a solution yet.
I would like to match the camera to a image / backplate. Is this possible? The only thing I was able to find are tutorials for camera tracking.

Hoping someone might be able to help out or point me into the right direction.

Thanks,
David

Feed the image into the camera. There is an image tab there that locks the image plane that is created to the camera. You can adjust distance etc..
Is that what you are talking about?

Michael that sounds like a nice solution, thanks - but I think it's too complicated for everyday use.
I was thinking more of a tool where you pick 2 or 3 axis and the software calculates the camera angle and the like. Modo and C4D have this kind of function... so I was hoping :)

The inputs are there... could be a fuse or macro. Hmmm...

If it is a still then I would probably use Photoshop to help set up the match and then move to Fusion.
