The latest version from Fusion 8 Beta 3 will not start at all. The startscreen remains black and nothing happens. Reinstallation and repair function did also not work for me.
Fusion 7 and the version Fusion 8 before the Beta 3 was also working.
I´m using a Windows 7 64bit version as OS.

How can a start Fusion 8 Beta 3 or where do I have a chance to find some logfiles etc.

Fusion 8 Beta 3 is working fine for me on Win7 64bit.
Have you tried redownloading the installer? or probably restart the PC then reinstall?

same problem here, start screen appears, but after loading the plugins, it disapears and nothing happens
Win7 Pro 64bit, latest updates.

I found a workaround in the meantime.
Kill the fusion process (fusion only, without killing FusionQTServer and FuScript) and restart Fusion.
After restarting the fusion process, Fusion is working for me, but shortcuts are not working. A second kill solved this issue for me.
I do not know whats going on in the background, but Im sure that is a bug which can be solved by blackmagic.

interessting, but not worked for me, there is no fusion.exe process hanging around there.

Any antiviruses?

Having the same issue with OSX. Downloaded latest Beta version, installed, just getting spinning beachball.

Found my problem, b3 needs 10.10, b2 was running fine on 10.9.5.

Anyone know where you can get older versions to download?

sometimes restarting the Fusion process did not work at the first attempt. Sometimes I need two, three, four attempts to get it working.
So, try to kill the Fusion process if the Fusion Start Screen will not directly show the Logo and start the Fusion process again. Do this a couple of times to get it working. That works for me so far.

Are you on Fusion (non-studio) or Fusion Studio?
Do you have Python installed on your machine? If yes, which version(s)?
By any chance, have you tried using a fresh preferences? (i.e. move the files in "C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\Fusion\Profiles\Default" somewhere else so Fusion generates new default prefs)

do you have some plugins or OFX installed? if yes, try moving them to a folder where Fusion cannot detect.

Recreating the Profile did not work.

Since you're on non-studio version, the cause of the issue shouldn't be OFX.
..and since having fresh profiles also doesn't fix it, it has nothing to do with profiles.

I suspect it may have something to do with race condition while loading the Python stuffs.
a quick test like removing Python 3.3 (and possibly 2.7 as well) may be helpful.

Same here... Win 8.1 x64. Nothing appears and Fusion wont start. I have noticed it starts FusionScript services 3 times for some reason. A minute later or so the black window appears but thats it... No Fusion...

SOLVED!!!! Thanks Yuri you pointed me to the right direction

So my problems with Resolve AND Fusion were caused by Zone Alarm Free Antivirus + Firewall...! No matter how I adjusted this thing (antivirus exceptions, firewall settings) it kept my fusion from starting itself! Even when you turn antivirus AND firewall off it still collides somehow... So I simply uninstalled this Zone Alarm piece of junk and everything works as expected!!!

Nice to hear that. Long time ago the processes were blocked by NOD32 antivirus. (Fu5)
