Equivalent to Gradient Map

PostMon Jan 18, 2016 1:07 pm

hey guys,

there is a tool i often use where the levels of an image are translated into customizable gradient palette.
(ie. red for midtones, blue for shadow etc)

is there anything similar to this tool in fusion?

https://indicated.co/blackmagic-fusion-plugins/one-dimensional-lut-3d/

That applies as a material, but a 3Im combined with a 3Rn using the UV renderer will do exactly what you need.

Yeah, any plugins, native or OFX, require a Studio license.

This might be something similar to what you're looking for. An old trick I saved from Daniel Koch:

Now here's the non-obvious solution, a demented combination of Bitmap Mask and FastNoise tool (you did know that FastNoise did gradient mapping, didn't you?).

Set the Bitmap mask to Luminance, connect it to FN's Noise Brightness Map input, set Noise Detail to 0, turn up Brightness, and have fun.

You can then use the colors of the Fast Noise to assign colors to every tone.

"This site can’t be reachedindicated.co took too long to respond."

I'd google it

The next two sites - "Internal Server Error".
