fusion 7 studio boxed question

hi guys,
fusion 7 studio just came in a box, dongle included. very happy camper.
since i have the version 8 on my pc i am wondering what is the most prudent way to install the software.
any tips are very welcome.

That dongle acts as the license for Fusion 7 and moving forward. This also applies to the beta versions of the software that are available on the support page. If you've already opened projects with the beta version of 8, I'd suggest to save those to a file you'll remember they're in and then uninstall the standard version before you install the Studio version.

just to be sure: i am just to uninstall the free version before installing the studio 7.
do i need to use the memory card installer?
i already have the finished projects secured away.

Since you now have the Studio dongle, uninstall the version you have already on your computer then install the Studio version after the restart. You won't need the dongle attached to the computer until you start using the software.
