Okay totally confused about getting animated characters into

PostMon Apr 25, 2016 12:40 am

Okay so yes I am a free to play user

I have characters from mixamo with animations in the fbx format.

The fbx format of mixamo is to separate the mesh from the animations.

I can import the mesh and the import box says no animation the resulting mesh in fusion is a multipart mesh with multiple textures which all resolve down to a single 3dmerge node.

I cannot attach fbx animations to this node

I cannot add fbx animations at the time of importing the mesh

if I export from 3dMax with baked animations in the Alembic format it doesn't retain the material or texture information of the fbx mesh.

And finally to even get and use Alembic as a tool I have to compile it.

So any advice on which programs to use to get my fbx character with their textures including diffuse specular normal and bump maps as well as their animation into fusion.

Thank You
