Importing Textures from Blender, external OBJ/FBX ETC

So obviously there's material distortion when importing FBX/OBJs from external 3D apps.

But for simple textures , like blinn diffuse colors, that import fine into Fusion...WHY CAN'T the bump map works? Even if you don't import a material and add your own native Fusion ones, the diffuse is fine, but the bump maps never show up...even if you replace material the obj file.

Is there a workaround? If I did all the bump maps within the native application would that work?

Assign the bump map to the diffuse color slot.

Doesn't work, then you get normal colors. And yes I know it goes in the slot, it's not bumping.

No, you'll have to set up all your materials manually in Fusion.

Hi Gary.

I had a similar problem with bumpmap this week.

For me what solved it was changing from "bumpmap" (which I believe is the default on importing FBX) to "heightmap".
