WFusion 8: Preferences under Windows 7 won´t save

I am using a fresh installation of Fusion 8, all works fine but it loks like any changes I make to teh prefernces won´t save - as well the software does not remmber "recent files".
Any idea? I thought maybe the preferences file does not have the right permissions (cannot find the preferences file).
