Does anyone know of a tutorial that show how to track a green screen with tracking marks and then connect it to background plate?

There are a lot of them out there. Do you need a full 3D track (does the camera move in three dimensions) or might a 2D track be sufficient. Please elaborate on your specific situation, so we can help you better.

You have tracking markers so that's already a great start to begin with :)

This is a perfect opportunity to post few tutorials for anyone who wants to know how to setup chroma key tracking.

Simple 2D tracking with green screen markers would look something like this, you can easily replicate this in Fusion

Now if your camera features Pan-Tilt-Zoom movements combined than you should refer to this

For now I'm doing 2D tracking. I looked at the tutorials suggested. However, none of them are for Fusion 8.

If you are not familiar with Tracking tool then take a look at this oldie but goodie :)

Then go ahead and apply the tracker tool to principles as shown in After Effects video.

This guy is fantastic, I wish he'd make more tutorials.

He covers a bit of tracking in Fusion:

Is there any chance you can share your footage? Maybe I (or someone else on the list) could make a tutorial from it, specifically for Fusion 8. In your original post, it sounded as if you were looking for tutorials for tracking in general. Most tutorials for one package also apply to other packages.
You just need to push some other buttons.

I have come to conclusion that tracking background using a green screen key cannot be done. The tracker already combines the two images so the green screen cannot combine the two tracked images. Now I'm new to fusion so there be some way to make this work.

The tracker doesn't *have* to combine the images. You can just track the screen in the tracker and do your keying in another branch of the comp and then bring everything back together again later on.

I understand that being new to Fusion makes this all seem very difficult, but what you're describing is very basic stuff. So again: can you show us - a little piece of - your footage, so we can see what you're dealing with and help you better?

Here's link to files I am using to test the green screen/background. The TIFF is the background plate and PNG sequence is the green screen foreground plate.

REGT, I used the technique you suggested but was still unable to connect the foreground plate tracking to the background plate. Keep in mind I'm new to Fusion. For me, tutorials are very useful.

I have a bit more information. If the background plate is switched with foreground black then the tracking works.

Good to hear it works for you now.
Do you still need some tips, or do you have it figured out now?

I've still not gotten to work the way I want. I'm unable to connect the background plate tracking to the foreground plate (Green Screen)

The footage you shared (the png sequence from Hollywood Camera Work) is a 3D motion and will require a 3D track to *ever* get a good match. There is no way (except for long and hard manual labor) to match the BG to this FG.
