empty viewers after display sleep

PostTue Jun 28, 2016 7:00 pm

Fusion 8.1 on Windows 8.1 shows only black viewers after the display wakes up. The only thing that brings them back is to restart Fusion. System is up to date with current drivers.

Other UI behavior after display sleep :
- resizing viewers leaves "trails" of the viewer toolbars
- all drop-downs are white ( instead of the UI grey ) with text still visible
- same goes for the status bar at the bottom

Is anyone else experiencing this?

System Specs :
- Windows 8.1
- 2x 14-Core Xeons
- 3x GTX TitanX
- 256GB ram
- LG 31MU97-B display

Sometimes, all open app windows will be smaller and bunched up in the top left corner if they weren't full screened which is an annoying but workable Windows 8 / 4K display problem. Fusion is the only app that needs to be restarted to get it back.

I ended up going back to a standard dpi 8-bit monitor. It seems the combination of hidpi and 10-bit doesn't cooperate with Fusion. As is also the case with Resolve on Windows, interface scaling compared to the way the same apps work on a Mac leaves a lot to be desired. Everything seems to be working now. Fingers crossed this gets a little more attention in the next release.
