Export Clip with original Timecode?

Hi everyone,

I am pretty new to Fusion and tried to do a simple greenscreen-layout-Key using Primate. I wanted to preserve original Filenames and Timecode for the offline-Editing. So we could just swap offlineclips for Layouts.

I keyed and exported as prores 4444 but the Timecode on the Fusion Clips always starts at 00:00:00:00

How do I get the original Timecode taken over in the exported Files?
I have been looking into the Manual and the Net but could not find much to help me.
Hope you guys can help me on this one!

Thanks a lot!

Ziggy

P.S. would like to use real Name but seems like I can not change it. Had this account for a while :)

Hi,

first check if your input clip has the timecode as metadata, for that in the viewer click "SubV" and set it to "Metadata". then at the end of your comp, u can use "copymetadata"- node, if it not work u can use "setmetadata" - to do manuell , by setting Fieldname to "timecode" and value to the first TC u see in the metadata of your clip

Hi,
you can also use SetMetaDataTC fuse to set the metadata as you need. Just set correct fps.

The Set Metadata can actually set arbitrary metadata string if you need it, like reelid for dpx frames, not sure about quicktime reel metadata.
