loading video clips on linux

it looks like like the fusion loader does only support pure image sequences on system without quicktime support.
if you try to open any kind of video clip, you will get an error message on the console.
this is very limiting condition to use fusion in practical work on the linux plattform.
other competing alternatives are as well quite limited in this respect because of licensing issues, but in contrast to fusion you are able to make use of prores and dnxhd on nuke non-commercial on the linux platform.
