How to import camera from Maya

Hi,

Kinda of newbie here. I'm trying to import a camera with animation from maya. I've tried to "Import Camera" under the render cam but it doesn't seem to do anything. I also can't seem to move the camera after that. I've also tried to import the scene with a camera only with FBX import but fusion says that the file is corrupted or invalid (it's fine because I reimported it in new Maya scene)

How do I do this?

Cheers.

I can only comment from bring camera's in from other 3D apps, but have always had success with using Alembic.

Depending how Fusion translates the exported Alembic you may have to change the film back in Fusion to match what you have in maya.

The import in the camera itself supports only some file types. I think Maya ASCII is one of them

The FBX import relies on a certain version of FBX, if your Maya uses a newer one it can't be loaded. You could try to export using an older FBX version
Use the file- import - FBX scene to recreate the whole structure of the FBX

Alembic should also work fine, also use the option under file- import to recreate the whole scene with nodes
