Loader Change Path - script and through Scite

PostThu Sep 29, 2016 6:25 pm

trying to template a workflow for updated loaders. I've tried the supplied script in 7.7.1 "Change Paths" and can't get it to find the directory. Anyone know how to get this to search correctly? Basically have image sequences in folders, want to force reconnect the updated renders in a new folder.

I've also tried doing this with a search and replace with the script "open to Scite" but when I save Scite as a .comp file, or copy and paste the code back into Fusion, It doesn't see numbers in my naming convention, so it links to an invalid path. In place of the numbers it has "boxes".

Thoughts?

Looks like this is only happening with layered files. I've tested with PSD and TIFF and both have the same behavior, the loader points to the right location, but requires you to manually select the folder icon next to "Filename" in the loader to refresh the loader.

Purging Cache doesn't update the loader, and ctr-P doesn't refresh the loader.

When I change path locations for PSD files, after copying the change from Scite and pasting back in to the flow, the Console give me an error that it failed to load the file: J:\ChangeLoader_1a000000001.psd

The only thing i'm changing in Scite is the path that should be changed for the loader, I have no manual input for the file to look for anything but: J:\ChangeLoader_1a.psd.

However, if I force Fusion to look for that file on the server by clicking the folder icon, it automatically reconnects. Not a bit deal but when I have 400+ shots, and each shot has 10-20 layered files... it adds up clicking the little folder icon.

Any thoughts?
