Hello there everybody.

I just purchased Fusion Studio. Waiting for it in the mail.

I'm wondering now will I have access to a type of pixel motion blur effect in the Studio version that can be achieved with RealSmart MB or After Effects (Pixel Motion Blur)?

Thanks!

The tech of vector motion track is similar, the difference is the option of mask and more of different tool that allow you to obtain better or less result.
Remember that most of result depend from original video shooting, if shooter with high speed shutter is better.

Not sure what you mean... I was under the understanding that the optical flow tools had a way or adding motion blur to any footage that required it?

Just trying to understand what node is used for this.

Thanks!

Sorry, I was too foggy.
Optical flow usually is a way to add more frame to your footage by a "morphing tech" to build new frames. Motion blur is another derivate from this tech.
Df had it in post but you have less parameters than Reelsmart plugins. Usually you need external plugin if you have strange motion on your footage, like circular motion, exploding motion and more.
What is your kind of footage to "smooth" with motion blur?

No footage in particular. I'm just curious if this type of "pixel blur" is possible with the optical flow tools.

Thanks!

yes, its possible.

you need to create the vectors with the optical flow node and the you can use the vector blur

My understanding is that you're not going to have a set-it-and-forget-it type of experience like RSMB or the AE Motion Blur provide. Fusion is a bit more complicated when it comes to applying pixel motion blur and auto-calculating the individual vectors.
