Hi, I can't seem to figure out how to add my custom macros to the toolbar. The Macro folder is missing from the Customize Toolbars dialog.

I've tried putting the .setting files all over the place, but can't get them into the toolbar.

It appears that the free version of Fusion 8.2 build 2 still has a 'SETTINGS' folder under the Customize Toolbars menu. In the Actions section. This lists all the .settings files in the Fusion 8/Macros folder.

I've tried re-installing 8.2 Studio build 2 but still nadda. No such folder. I can't get .settings files to show up in any other folder either.

Ok. If you've made it this far, well done. In 8.2 Studio build 2 the behavior of Macro .settings/custom toolbars is for me extremely flaky. Re-installs didn't help. The free version does seem to be working fine. Below is a convoluted mess of a workaround to get Macros back into a custom toolbar. If you, like me, can't get Macros to appear anywhere under 'Customize Toolbars', try this. It seems to be repeatable.

1. Add your Macros (.setting) files to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\Fusion\Scripts.

2. Open Fusion and confirm you still don't have a 'Settings' folder under 'Customize Toolbars'.

3. Go 'Script' > 'Edit' > 'New Script'...

4. Don't make anything. Just click Cancel.

5. The 'Settings' folder under 'Customize Toolbars' has hopefully been temporarily encouraged to come forth. If it doesn't, actually make an empty .lua file in step 4.

6. Add EVERY Macro to a new custom toolbar. Call the toolbar whatever, just add everything whether you want it in a toolbar or not. Anything not added, built in Macros included, will disappear as an option after a restart of Fusion if they aren't put in at least one toolbar.

7. Now turn off this overflowing toolbar and put the Macros you want in a toolbar where you like.

8. You'll probably have to repeat this for new Macro .setting files. They won't just show up. Funno.
