No compression exporting mov png format

Hi, I'm trying to export in a mov choosing png format, but no matter which level of compression I choose, the file saved is always the same size.
I try with other formats like PhotoJPEG and the compression is good. But with png no compression.

Anyone has any idea what's wrong here?

In fusion preference, there is a Quicktime folder, that is where you change the settings that Quicktime does not pass on to the saver. You can select PNG from the drop down, and change the values there.

I know, not very intuitive, hope that helps.

Not very intuitive indeed.. Actually I still don't understand why you have to do it this way, it should work properly as the PhotoJPEG does, isn't it?

Thanks Rony, but anyway I tested it and it seems that the slider for the compression is not working.

The only difference from the preference menu is that it pops up a new window for interlace and some filters (Paeth, adaptive,..). I notice a little difference in the size of the file, because of the change of the filter, but the slider for the compression is not working. No matter the percent you put...

Am I missing something?

That slider isn't a percentage. It's just a number that the codec uses to test against for settings.

Sorry, what you mean with "test against for settings"?
In the slider it says Quality %.

So there is no way to control the level of compression in Png?

Not practically. PNG isn't a distribution format, but a mastering format. As such there's little incentive for increased compression as there are rapidly diminishing returns. For a high traffic website it makes sense to have small PNGs because that IS a distribution format for image, but for video, no.

Okay, thanks. It's quite confusing and there is a little information about it.
