SceneInput Error

PostFri Feb 24, 2017 4:44 pm

I made just an simple 3D/particle flow and it just won't render! I get this error message... Can someone find the fault?

Merge3D1 cannot get SceneInput1 at time -2.28983e-015
Renderer3D1: fatal error - failed to get scene at time -0.000000
Renderer3D1: Render aborted.
Glow1 cannot get Parameter for Input at time 1
Saver1 cannot get Parameter for Input at time 1
Saver1 failed at time 1
ERROR: Render failed at Fri 5:33PM! Last frame rendered: 4.0!

I manage to make it work now. I started the render at frame 1 instead of frame 0. Bug?

Sorry, it worked when I stepped manually frame by frame

this happens when I start to render:

Merge3D1 cannot get SceneInput1 at time -2.28983e-015
Renderer3D1: fatal error - failed to get scene at time -0.000000
Renderer3D1: Render aborted.
Glow1 cannot get Parameter for Input at time 1
Glow1 failed at time 1
Saver1 cannot get Parameter for Input at time 1
Saver1 failed at time 1

There was some talk about Fusion not liking comps starting at 0...

I always start all my comps from frame 0, so that's not it.
Can you share the comp with us, since it seems that your comp requests information from negative time, so your global start should be negative to cover this.

I am sorry, but I can't replicate the error. The comp renders fine (albeit a bit slow because of the precalculation of the frames and the DOF). It could be the precalculation that triggers it, though, since you're asking Fusion to create frames in a timeframe (-200, 0) where it's not actually active.

How many frames did you render?

The preframe calc of the particles should be no problem. But something is obviously wrong with frame 0. I tried to render several times and at the most it managed to render 4 frames. But as soon as I started from frame 1 the whole range rendered fine.
