Paths & Polylines Motion Graphics

PostTue Feb 28, 2017 11:17 pm

Quick question guys. Is it possible to convert a regular paint circle or imported svg shape to a polyline stroke?

I have the idea to import a vector shape and apply a "write on" animation to it, to draw the shape on. But that option seems to only be available on polylines.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Cheers

File → Import → SVG
In Flow tab expand group and select a Polygon (actually line) you need. Press 1 for preview.
If it is ok, press right mouse on the line in viewer window and choose PolygonN:Polyline → Export.
Save as *.dfsh file.
Now you can (in your composition) click right button on your animation path, choose PolygonN:Polyline → Import → Import Shape and select dfsh you need.
