First post here, so hello to all.

I have a loader and I'm trying to load a r3d file with it. I get this error:

Loader1 failed to load file "/Volumes/WORKDISK_SSD/work in process/dancer/assets/footage/A018_L002_0310ZU.RDC/test0000.R3D" (clip "/Volumes/WORKDISK_SSD/work in process/dancer/assets/footage/A018_L002_0310ZU.RDC/test.R3D" at frame 0) : Invalid argument

The file is 4k. I'm using the free version. Are there any restrictions or kind of r3d files that can't load?

Any help is appreciated.

there is no restriction in the Fusion free, this should work,

Try downloading some RED files from the internet and testing them.
