Recalculate new camera path with offset

Hi
From an imported fbx file I have a baked camera path, position and rotation are animated.
I need to calculate new xyz positions with a fixed offset from the path. That would be pretty easy if the camera didn’t have rotation. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
