Hey Guys:)

I am almost ready to start rendering my passes in 3dsmax and the comp will be in Fusion which I am really start to learning not long ago. So what I will need to know is what is the best way to get mb from moving object in my scene. Should I render velocity pass or Z depth or both?
What is the good workflow for getting accurate mb in Fusion?

Thanks :D

most accurate would be to render directly with motion blur in the 3d software

to use the vector blur in fusion you would need to render motion vectors from your 3d software and then pipe them into the correct channels inside fusion (format tab in the loader or a channel boolean node)

Hey Michael.

Ype that 'll be ideal but I am dealing with destruction so I have tons of small elements and this way vray mb is not the fast solution for me:(
In vray I can render velocity pass and then if I understand correct from your answer I should pipe that in channel bool in Fusion. I am presuming Aux Channel is the tab which I should mess with?

ahh I see now so basically I will need render vector pass out of 3dsmax and then connect it to motion vector node Fusion to blur moving fast elements and keep static in focus, is that right?
