Registering Full Version Question

Hi,

I was a long time user of Fusion from back in its Eyeon days (I used Fusion for 12 years at Rhythm & Hues,) but I stopped using it when version 6.x broke under Windows 10. Anyway, I finally upgraded to the full BlackMagic Design version and received my dongle yesterday.

This might sound like a silly question but should I register my license anywhere? There was no info for registering in the package and I can't find a page for this on the website.

I mean, the software appears to be working fine without registration--I just plugged in the dongle and it works, which is a nice change from the hoops I had to jump through with the Eyeon's licensing--but I was wondering if there was anything else I should do to let Eyeon know I own a license. Like in case I ever need to replace the dongle or something.

Also, the package came with version 8.1 on the card. Where do I download the full version of 8.2?

Thanks in advance for any helpful info. (Sorry, if the info is actually obvious somewhere. I have a killer headache today.)

Welcome back to Fusion!

I don't think registering is necessary anymore, but it doesn't hurt either.
You can download the latest version from

https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/suppor ... and-fusion

I think when the download requester pops up you can enter your dongle code, although I'm not sure.

Thanks for the speedy response! Downloading now.

I love how licensing has been simplified. I'm not typically a fan of dongles but BMD seems to have done this right. :)

It looks like I register when I request the update from the above link.

FYI, don't throw out the package--you'll need that.

Just posting this info for anybody else with the same question.

You're right, but there is also a *download only* link on the bottom left of the 'registration form', so it is possible to download, install and run without registering.
