I must say I'm very excited by the new tracking features and they were the first things I tried out yesterday morning.
Knowing a few other camera trackers, I just dived into the camera tracker without reading the manual.
I nearly went crazy with the Solve window and Track Filtering. The Maximum Track Error and Maximum Solve Error sliders are totally counter intuitive. I would imagine that if I select tracks with a Maximum Track Error of 0.15 and a Maximum Solve Error of 1.0, I would be selecting the best tracks...BUT NO.
The Maximum Track Error of 0.15 actually selects all tracks with an error higher than 0.15; and likewise, the Maximum Solve Error of 1.0 actually selects all track with higher solve errors.
I'm sure I'm not the only one finding that counter intuitive. It can easily be changed by making the slider names:
"Maximum Track Error Exceeds" and "Maximum Solve Error Exceeds"
Another mild irritation I experienced was in the Camera tab, where the Focal Length is in millimetres, but the sensor size in inches. Even on the Blackmagic cameras product pages are the sensor sizes given in millimetres.
Just a suggestion from an otherwise very happy Fusion Studio 9 user.
