Introduction:CGS fractal noise is a fractal noise texture generation tool, the noise can generate a variety of forms, such as fractal, blocky, value, worley, ripples, ridged, cell, wood, marble, cloudy, Perlin, plasma, fluid, fire, flow, caustics and so on. It can also achieve more complex program texture by changing the parameters such as color and shape, and can adjust the speed to achieve dynamic effect.

Hi June, I bought and installed it, but it does not work on my Macbook Pro 11,5 running Fusion 9.0.2 build15.
OS 10.13.3 (17D102)
i7 2.8GHz
AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
FractalNoise appears in the tools list, but when I put it in a viewer I get a red display, the console give me this error.
OpenCL clBuildProgram() failed: CL_BUILD_PROGRAM_FAILURE
I have tried playing with settings, nothing changes except if I change it to Int16 the color changes to green, float16/32 the color disappear.
I have tried unzipping just in case and the result is the same.
Does it work only in studio? Does it work only on windows?
I will try it at home on my PC on which my studio dongle is installed when I get back home.
Thanks

June, thanks for the effort.
Could you please record the video, showing the performance.
I expect a realtime one, since it's twenty bucks, otherwise I would probably render out from After Effects my own custom fractal noise settings, if I'd had a bloody need.
And I also believe this should be within Fusion by default.

Thank you June,
Just bought it. Is it possible to share the comp files for the examples?

Purchased and downloaded - after a quick play I have to say this is outstanding work JUNE! Incredibly useful, a real labour saver, and very easy to use.
And example comps would be great, as well as any tutorial stuff you can give us in terms of the best way to use this terrific utility.

I got to playing with it a little when I got back home yesterday, almost all the noises play at full fps.
As for my problem on my Macbook pro, unfortunately there is no driver update available for the GPU so I will not be able to play with the fractal noise at work when things are slow...

I'm sorry, I can't control the driving problems of ATI and NVIDIA. My development environment is GTX780. Thank you for your support.

Very nice work, June! Really takes the pressure off me to get MT_Voronoi in shape.
For those with low-end PCs, be aware that this tool has a lot of OpenCL code, and Fusion has to compile it at render time. If your CPU isn't great (like mine), it can take a while to get the first frame. My dual core Pentium took a little more than a minute to compile, but once it was done, I get about 2-7 fps on a GeForce GT 420 in Fusion 8. The compile will happen only once per Fusion session, though, no matter how many FractalNoise tools you're using, even if they're in different comps.
If it errors, there will be a message in the Console View. If it merely sits there with a green light on for a while, it's probably still compiling, so just give it some more time.
I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces in production!

Hi June, works great, thanks.
It would really be fun and an nice exercise to have
the comps you have shown in your inital post to play with.

Can this plugin create looping noises? I really miss that feature on the fast noise node.
I After effects there is this option to create seamless loops of fractal noises.

Hi June,
I have already purchased, but for personal reasons I stayed at the vesione 1.1 Can I update to the latest release? And does it work on Fusion/Resolve 17.2.2 and upcoming versions?
thank you very much.

Nvidia, AMD or Metal all recommend choosing Auto mode.
