I thought I read somewhere that a DR Studio license also grants access to Fusion Studio. Is this true or wishful thinking?

Yes, but only with the USB dongle at the moment.

Also only for Fusion Studio 16 beta. Will not work for older versions such as the released Fusion Studio 9.

Just checking if it's still the case that only the dongle will give me a fusion license?

I would also like to know this, as I just purchased the activation code instead of the dongle.

Update: I just got finished speaking with a representative from Blackmagic about this. He told me that the fusion studio activation is currently only available via the dongle, which is unfortunate. I was hoping to take advantage of the standalone app in instances when I am doing only heavy compositing. I hope this can be changed in the future.
