Resolve dongle and Fusion render node compatibility

PostFri Sep 20, 2019 10:50 am

Hi,

I am using studio beta 3, and have 2 resolve dongles.

I've just realised that fusion render node doesn't recognise properly resolve dongle.
I've tested a few configurations and network rendering is possible only on machines with fusion studio installed and dongles present, they can see each other in the network and render without problems.
Even having dongle on machine with just studio render node installed comes up with "no license" message.
Is this on purpose? Do i need to buy just copy of fusion to get it to work, afaik i will get access to resolve studio anyway? Or is it caused by beta version of software I am using? Is there any chance to resolve this situation in the future?

I did probably all what was mentioned on here or WSL forums to ger nodes to work (firewalls, environment vars etc.)

I also confirmed this. Fusion itself will launch and work properly with a Resolve dongle, but render nodes will not work unless the render manager is running of a system with a Fusion dongle.
