Man, this thing gets hot. And it stays hot, even when it's not doing much - but the machine it's attached to often has to stay powered on, even when it's not being actively used.
Ended up getting a remote controlled socket to plug it into, but a power button would be nice. Just sayin'
Yep. Thing that makes it all the more frustrating is that the Ultrastudio is by far the loudest thing in the room (and this room has a monster PC, 2 Macs, half a dozen monitors and a bunch of outboard stuff).
Can't record a VO when it's switched on.
So we position the thing as far away from us as possible. A remote socket (Homekit) was the answer...
But maybe I should have titled this "Can you make the thing quieter please, needs a better quality fan, and desperately needs vents to stop it cooking itself internally"

When the firmware update, forget which, bricked my unit; I opened it up; blew out a lot of the dust, and then it ran as quiet as new. I thought it needed a new fan too. There are vents at the side, but if it's rack mounted they offer little.

I replaced the fan with a Noctua fan and it's like night and day. Now I'm looking to see if I can replace the fans on the Videohub and other BM devices too. The original fans a really noisy.
